The original colour image is flat and uninspiring, so I fooled around in PS with it as a last resort before banishing it from my gallery and website forever. Thanks for your kind comment, Clayton! In Photoshop CS3, I first converted it to black and white, and then, using an adjustment layer (or you can use Image/Adjustment/Invert) clicked Invert. That's it. The Invert also works on colour images, sometimes giving really cool results.
