Description

I took this favorite photo of my husband, Steve, and youngest son on a camping trip back in 1987, as they sat mesmerized in front of the campfire. I am posting this today in honor of our son's birthday. Happy 19th Birthday, Greg! You've grown up way too fast!

Thank you so much for your nice comments, America and Gerda! It's especially heartwarming to me because it was a spontaneous portrait, and looking at it always awakens in me the same feelings of warmth and closeness that were present when I originally shot this image. I greatly appreciate your taking the time to respond! #14724

Janelle,

Spontaneous images, especially of people, are often the best. Not only did you capture a great memory for years to come, but a winning portrait as well.
