Leslie, I wish you had an E-mail I could write you directly but you don't have a gallery. Every month there seems to be one photo that I am devastated did not make it into the winners circle. This month it is yours. This is an amazing photo and certainly deserved to be in the winners circle. It is an honor to be a finalist, but just to let you know in my heart this has the grand prize win. Keep up the great work! #661811

Peggy,

Thanks so much!!! That really made my day. I don't have a gallery, because I keep holding out thinking that I might win one, but at this point it's not looking that way. I really felt upset that this one didn't get in. I'm glad that there are others that see that too! It almost burns me out from trying anymore. I guess I just don't know what they are looking for??? I love this website and it would be an honor to win. Thanks for all your kind words Peggy!

Leslie, the judges on this site seem to favor more of a photo journalistic style of photography. That does not mean you need to change a thing. I think this has what it takes to win in a different contest. When I take photos for people, I try to take something that they will want a huge print for their wall and future generations will fight over who gets it. This fits that bill! Try not to be discouraged! #662629

Jessica Hughes July 21, 2004

To me, this is a winner Leslie! I was shocked to find that this didn't win. I was expecting you to take first place! :) I love this photo!! #662638
