I Can Fly

Description

Taken one afternoon on Boracay Island, in the Philippines.

I waded into the water to shoot a photo of this boy that I had previously encountered while I was out swimming in the ocean. He had some sort of trust or understanding of who I was - so when I saw him again he happily played up to the camera with his friends, jumping off a rock.

After I press the shutter I quickly pull the camera down and turn away to avoid any splash on the lens...

This photo attempts to sum up the carefree and happy nature of being a child who has one of the world's most beautiful islands as his playground.

Exposure: f/11, 1/500 seconds
