When Beetles Dream...

Uploaded: July 26, 2007 09:50:45

Description

Artistic rendering of a beetle on a stalk of wild grass.

After cropping the original macro image, I adjusted contrast levels, and drastically shifted the hue. For a more dreamy effect, I then added the feathered edges.

Hi Susan...and thank you for your feedback! In the original image, the stalks and BG were mostly tan...and for fun, I went a little nuts shifting the hue. When I arrived at these colors, I thought it gave the image a cool, surrealistic look. Thanks again, Susan! #4562736

Thank you Wendy! Maybe "we" are just elements of some beetle's extremely elaborate dream. ;-)
Hi Peaches.... thanks for your nice comment! I find that I am drawn to shades and hues in the purple family, myself. #4564294
