Very pretty, Kerry. Love the slow motion of the water in these falls. I can almost feel the spray of the water just looking at the image.

Hi Amalia, Kerby, and Patricia,
I'm pleased that you like this image! Thanks so much for your nice comments ... much appreciated!

Incidentally, I was planning on catching the warm light of sunrise on that particular day, but a thick cloud cover cancelled my plans. Then, I remembered this wonderful waterfall, which I had visited previously on a sunny midday when glaring highlights and deep shadows prevented any good images. Moving water is always a great subject in the soft-and-even light of a white-sky day - no harsh contrast, of course, but the low light, small aperture and low ISO resulted in a long exposure and a nice silky-motion effect.

Thanks again, everyone!

What a beautiful image, Kerry. I love the composition. Exposure is perfect, of course. What really grabbed me were the streams of water across the whole frame. This is a good example of really "seeing" what is before you and capturing it!

Hi Janine, Pat, and Michelle,
There was a technical snag on my previous response :-) ... here's a new one:

Thanks so much for the nice comments ... I'm glad that you like this image! And nice hearing from you, Pat ... and Michelle, a small world indeed (my in-laws used to live down the road from Dunsmuir - in Castella).

Thanks again!
