White Roses with Butterfly

Uploaded: September 02, 2002 00:51:27

Description

I converted the roses to B&W and darkened the background. I then added the butterfly and tinted it. I also applied selective blur and shading to the butterfly.

Shirley,

Great job on this image. This is absolutely beautiful. Your choice of using a "Rice Paper" butterfly (Idea sp.) is perfect. I don't think this could have been done any better.

Thank you, Cathy!

Also, I want to clarify for Bob and everyone that this is a photograph of a real butterfly, not a fake one.

Hi Shirley. Just to clarify - "Rice Paper" is a breed of butterfly, usually black and white or off white. This one is a perfect compliment to the roses.
