Description

5/30/04, 3:37 p.m., full shade, f/8, 1/40, ISO 200, no flash, handheld. Converted to sepia, light contrast enhancement and added texture in PS Elements 2. No cropping. Statue outside Parliament building in Bern. Liked the diagonal created by the hands and draped fabric, so I opted to shoot that instead of whole statue.

Thanks so much, Paul, Tammy, Colette, Claudia, Allan, Carolyn, Donna, Mike, Kenton, and Elisabeth! I was SUPPOSED to go to some spectacular (from what I hear) waterfalls about two hours from here on Sat. I was all set to get some cool shots and try my hand at that lovely "soft water" effect. We got four blocks from home and the 15 month old transmission on our '96 van blew! I was crushed, but decided to go out and find some things to shoot anyway. This was my favorite from the day:-) #570160

Your selecting the closeup choice makes a more powerful statement, Jan, along with the positioning of the right hand which appears to have just completed or on its way to writing something. Super job and nice choice of toning!!
