Editing in PSCS included first straightening the horizon using the rows of seating. Then a distort followed by a skew transformation. Cropping was then done. Auto levels, Red Paw Media Beautifier filter helped to give an initial lightening and saturation of colors. Then color adjustments using the color balance and selective filters to taste. High pass filter duplicated until desired sharpening. Luminance adjustment to brighten. #665265

One correction to the above description. I actually straightened the horizon using the ruler tool, then I cropped the photo. I then distorted and skewed until I got the final photo the way I wanted. #4349228

That is some kinda transformation, Susan! Terrific work... I like the almost painted quality, the clerestory light has, and just picking out the rood beam sculptures, high up in the shadows of the vault, near the back. #4352683

Susan M. Hembree May 31, 2007

You know Chris, I almost threw out this photo, but then thought, let me work with it and see what I can do. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how this turned out. Thanks for taking time to look tonight and your encouraging comments. I appreciate especially your explanation of the structural features in the cathedral. #4352810

Lynn--I hope you get this as I tried to write you back and it came back to me as the e-mail address doesn't work.

Anyways, I started the photo discussion of with photo with a response. This of course brings up the box for you to write your response. There is a tab that asks you if you would like to download a photo under the response box, above the "If you would like to be notified..." check tab. It will ask how many you want to download (there is a
drop down menu that says, "Select". Just select the number you want to
download). Then, hit submit and it will bring up a new page that will ask you for information about the photo. Enter in all the information that you want, check the box to not submit to the contest, check the rule box, uncheck the respond box, then hit "Submit Your Photo". It took me a few times to get this right; I actually had to delete everything once and re-upload a second time. I sure hope this helps you.

Thanks for your comment about my photography. Your site is pretty awesome, too, especially your two truck photos. Congrats again on both of those!

Susan,
I downloaded the redpawmedia.com/beautifier. It said it was in my Adobe Photoshop. Cannot find it in Adobe. Where should I look? #5372884
