Darth Vader

Description

I'm not sure what type of butterfly or moth this menacing looking fellow will become, but his shiny black head reminded me of Darth Vader... He was chowing down on this plant stalk, so I took the opportunity to snap off a few close-ups. Despite the fact that he is all of 1.5 inches long, you can still see the bite marks in the stem!

Neat little caterpillar! Sometimes it is difficult to identify these because caterpillars are so variable depending not only on species but also on environment. Nice job though. #647064
