Thank you everyone for your kind words. I photographed this Python through glass at the Los Angeles Zoo. I put the lens up to the glass, using a rubber lens hood to eliminate any glare from the flash. I then replaced the wood background behind the snake with this out of focus one using Photoshop. In several trips to the zoo since taking this image, I haven't seen the snake in this position again!

I'm not going to enter any more animal/reptile/insect/still life shots anymore. I'm going to secretly go away and study your images until I can come back with the same level of brilliance that you always show in your images Bob.
Another stunner! I just hope you don't get carried away and start enetering images with people/ black & whites/ abstracts and any other style of image, or there will be no hope for the rest of us!
Cheers Adam #14055

Thanks again for the additional comments. Kerry - thanks for your kind words. It means a lot coming from you.

Adam ... I got a kick out of your response. Tomorrow I will not enter an animal but an image that is partially B&W and color. As you know, there are a lot of great images on this site submitted by so many people. Congratulations on your "Fete Fun".

"BUGGER!" I should have kept my mouth closed, maybe then you would have entered another animal image!
PS Thanks for the comment
