This is a beautiful image! I think the effects give it a magical storybook quality! Very nice! Like the cover of a children's book! #121342

I agree with Dale. It does have a magical watercolor effect to it. How did you create this, Sharmeka? Well done! :-) #502333

Thank you very much! This picture you can say came possessed by the powers that be, because I was actually trying to just take a shot of the window and my daughter climbed up to look out as I was taking the shot and I was so taken by the view of her looking out the window that I decided to just take the shot of her in the window but as I was taking the shot, I started thinking how nice the shot would be if it had a mosiac effect and some what of a shadow over some of the areas. So instead of taking the picture on the usual setting on my camera (the indoor setting) I took it on the scene setting and then I adjusting the lighting, to be a little darker than normal. After I did took the picture, I then opened it in VCkMans software, that I have and went into my filters and effects. I added a mosiac effect, but only added a little bit, just to give that effect you see where it looks like it is a painting or the cover of a book "story book"

When I was done, I stared at this photo so long because I thought it was so beautiful.

I have other photos in which I used effects of this kind like the one I applied to this photo. I will share them.

If you would like to added various painting effects or other effects, VCKMans software is a totally free and has a large amount of effects to select from. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to add like a post impression effects to their pictures...etc.

If you would like the link to to where to where you can download it, please let me know and I will contact you and send you the link.

Thanks again everyone! I really appreciate your comments on my photo.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate your comments!

I'm just going to post the link in here, since I"m getting so many request here and at other sites.

Here is a list of the software I love to use.

20/20, Vckmans and pixia and adobe.

Vckmans is one of the best sofwares for creating effects. There are so many and you just go to learn to use the menus for each effect to determin how much of an effect you want on yoru picture.

It has a paint engine, saphire collection and harrys filters.

I would suggestion practicing alot using various effects and pictures of yours, seeing how things turn out. The sofware also have just about everything adobe has as well and many other effects.

I know that softwares like this that offer so much and become so popular, are only free for a short time, so I would suggest downloading it as soon as possible before it become for sale only.

There has been a high response for the software so I'm sure it will end up not being free anymore. lol.

I would suggest downloading the 20/20 software as soon as possible as well that allows you to do alot of things to.
that is also becomeing very popular.

What I love to do, is with my nature picture is make them negatives and then use the saphire collection in Vckmans sofware and color adjustments.
Then go into the paint engines and before you know it, your picture of a tree or flower looks like a painting of it instead, depending on what effects you choose. It took me a few months to figure out these technics in the softwares when making things into paintings. You don't have to make them negative, first but I like it because the color contrast turns out very nice on a colorful picture when you add effects to it.

I hope I'm not breaking any rules but here is the links to the software. I got bad hands and been getting so many reqest for the links to them, even outside of betterphoto. So here is the links to them.

Let me know if you would like some tips, suggestions, ideas or even help. I will do the best I can to give you some tips and ideas for spicing up your photos too with effects.

*smile*

Thanks
