Description

While visiting a fort in Searsport, Maine, we descended into the underground level. As I was ascending the cement stairs in total darkness, my husband was already at the top, standing in the doorway....this is the result.

Why thank you so much on the early weekend morning, Carolyn!!! Always a pleasure to hear from you!! I thought I had uploaded this photograph at Betterphoto already and I was mistaken. Thought I'd see how it did. My husband's shape is a bit distorted by the backlighting. His head looks disproportionately smaller than the rest of his body!! #10491

Carolyn M. Fletcher level-classic August 02, 2002

Yeah, it would at the angle you were shooting from. Neat shot, though. #10492

Thanks for you nice comment. I think the shape that your husband displays adds a special feeling to the photo..I wouldn't alter anything about it. In Photoshop you can do an enormous amount of different things..creating just about anything your mind can conjour up. I LOVE PHOTOSHOP....recommend it to anyone who is serious about digital photography..Most photos need some degree of tweeking sometimes, and Photoshop is the ultimate answer. Have a good weekend. #10503

You two are too good to me!! Thank you Adam and Kathleen!! I am honored to be the recipient of such kindness. And am honored to be a finalist with this shot.

Kathleen...I'm a native of Maine. Lived there my entire childhood...moved away from Maine in '87 and been in CT ever since. Mom lives in Ellsworth and aunts and uncles galore there still. Went to my reunion in Fort Kent 95! Very scenic state!

Thank you all for your kind comments! #14118
