The most obvious element of this image is the use of diagonal lines: the phone, index finger, line-up of the other three fingers, and nose -- all add interest and energy, even though it looks like the subject is in listening mode, rather than talking. The soft, rounded, lines of the hair contrast the harder lines of the prop. I like the way the subject's perfectly manicured finger is complemented by her simple, but elegant, jewelry (the ring).

On my monitor, the image is slightly blurred. Too bad. It is also a bit dark, but maybe not so on the original. I don't think the image would lose anything by cropping out the phone antenna area if you could have moved the camera a bit to give her room to look. The dark lower left side doesn't really add to the overall effect, and I think her earing and bright spots of the phone attenna are distractions. Otherwise, a very nice shot. jj #624478
