Oh, I think we're all just in the midst of winter and pining away for all of this, aren't we? Patricia, I live in Missouri, but I was in Michigan for a seminar about a year and a half ago, when I took this (you can tell how far behind I am at dealing with my pictures). We do have some pretty nice fall color here too on occasion, but no birches, and I do so love the way those trees look with the leaves in the fall. :) #3968389

While the colors do make me feel nice and warm now, I try to forget that when I took this picture I was standing in a very, very wet and cold bog, without appropriate boots, not too long after sunrise. But the light truly was pretty--just not quite pretty enough (at the time) to make me forget my freezing feet. :( #3979600
