Very nice composition Damian. I have a very simular shot but the flowers are two different colors. I'll share it with you..below. How did you get the picture darker in the middle? Just in case you need to know, The flowers in the picture are hardy water lillies species, not lotus. #6655

My wife calls them lotus flowers, so I humor her. Believe it or not, there was a shadow from a plam tree between the two flowers, which seemed to make the shot more interesting....

There were some other colors too, but it started getting crowded at the park, so I'm going to have to make another trek out there and try to get some more shots I'm happy with.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful shot!

Damian,I have called them lotus too... You have captured a remarkably sharp image here, I like the colors and contrast..What camera and lens was used for this? #9791

I'm using an Olympus C-700 Ultra Zoom, which I love. This picture was taken about 20 feet or so from the flowers. I'm still fighting with overriding the auto focus on the cameria so that I can get the shot I want rather then the shot that the cameria wants to take. Just takes time to get used to new toys... #9797

Hi Damian, I have the AF system too and it is a real pain. I focus manually most of the time now.. In some situations it is helpful though but not necessary all of the time. Thanks for the response. The image quality of that camera is very good. #9805

Thanks... I have a lot of fun with it, but I just don't have the time to play as much as I'd like to.... #9810
