Description

If I disappear for a few days, don't think anything of it. We are in the middle of a major ice storm and they have told us to prepare for a few days without power. So far it's still on, but today is supposed to be the bad one so wish us luck!

I like the variety of colors and texture in this landscape.

Thanks everybody. So far it's still raining and freezing as soon as it sticks to something. The bushes are about 1/2 inch ice on top of the branches. It's gonna be a lulu, I think!
Lucky for us most of the trees don't have a lot of branches left to fall off after the last one we had 6 years ago. We were without power that time for 2 weeks. A tree fell on our power line and ripped it off the house, so it wasn't just a matter of them getting the electricity back on, they had to re- attach it first. Hope we fare better this time! #3814240

We have propane for heat, so we won't freeze regardless. And we can heat up soup on the propane stove, so we probably won't starve either. Not that I couldn't stand to lose a little weight. #3814271

We're next...that weather is headed for us, too. Sleet has begun and cars are iced over. If we lose power, it's going to be rough...our home is all electric.
I sure hope the branches you mention are missing everything and just falling to the ground.
