Description

African Lion (Panthera leo) - Toronto Zoo – Feb. 1st, 2004 2:32PM EST - 320mm, F8, 1/320th sec., Natural Light. The lion was in a cave, and the illumination from the bottom is actually sunlight reflected into the cave off of snow! It was a unique opportunity to see African Lions in the Snow! The wounds and scars on this fellows face seem to be the work of a moody silver-eyed lioness.
