Description

Yet another shot of half my face. I wanted to use my fresh flowers as much as possible. Even though the flower was cropped a little I still like the shot. I used two studio lights and adjusted color. ISO 100, f5.6, tripod and remote.

Stacy -
I just love this portrait - the fact that it's a SELF-portrait makes it even more impressive. Your lighting was spot on, right down the the nice catch light in your eye. Your framing and composition complement the shape of your face and features perfectly. And your placement of the flower is great. On top of it all, that slight smile tells a great story. #3722519

Wow, thanks John, I am flattered that you did such an in-depth study of this shot. The story inside my brain while I took this was " I can't believe I'm doing this". Thanks again! #3723317

Softly the wind blows,... softly the wind blows,
As the flower in her hair next to beauty shows,
Softly the wind blows.
As fall opens to winter then away goes,
Softly the wind blows.
Gently fingering through her hair, then it is gone,
Softly the wind blows.
Always remembered as it passes through,
Softly the wind blows... #3723579
