Jed - Nice shot in a beautiful part of our country. Is that deep blue color from the sky or polarizer-or other filter?
Who's keeping watch for bears??!!

Thanks for the nice comment Steve. I wasn't too worried about bears because he was the one with the fish.
As for the blue water, most of it was because it was an incredibly clear day with no clouds. I was using Velvia50 so probably the film helped add some saturation. Also, being slightly higher than him on the bank of the river allowed me to show more of the reflected blue from the sky. If I'd been lower the blue would have been a narrower strip. Because I can see his reflection in the water I don't think it's from polarization (I'm also very careful using a polarizer with Velvia because sometimes the effect is too extreme). #1004799

Jed,

Stunning part of the country.

This is beautiful in detail, color and lighting.

Very nicely done.

Wonder if he caught any fish?

Kerby,
Thanks for the comments on my image. I love Yellowstone in all seasons, it really is a stunning part of the country (winter is magical). And he did catch a fish while I was there. Thanks again.
Jed
