Pigeon Point Light House.

Canon EOS 20D w/ Canon 24~70mm, f/2.8, L
ISO 800, f/2.8, 8”, 42mm
AV Mode, Manual Focus, Tripod, Remote, Long exposure noise reduction used.

They turn on the Fresnel lens once a year for two hours, and hold the beam still for the first five minutes. Some of my photo buddies kept saying that they wanted to find a different perspective. I started to think (there’s were the trouble starts), knowing that this lighthouse is the most photographed lighthouse in California I decided just to isolate the lens and light beams, purposely removing all other objects from the composition so it would most definitely make it different, and after comparing our photographs it was :)
