Cedar Waxwing
Description:
I check this stand of cherry trees every fall for the annual visit of the Cedar Waxwings. These beautiful birds are almost exclusively fructivorous (fruit eaters). They are very colorful, including small red tips on some wing feathers (barely visible here), which looked to some like red sealing wax - hence the "waxwing" name.
