Green snake basking at the Rio Grande Zoo, New Mexico

To make the snake, and especially its eye, stand out more I did the following in Photoshop:1) Selected the background and decreased brightness and contrast to bring it to black.
2) Selected the snake, minus its eye, and upped the brightness and contrast, did a curves adjustment in the green zone, and upped the saturation just a tad.
3) Selected the snake's eye and upped brightness and increased the yellow in the midtones and highlights.
4) Did a slight unsharp mask over the snake, but not the log.
