A Very Different View

Description

RAW, ISO 100, Lens 17-55 at 17 mm, Manual Mode, Pattern Metering, white balance set to tungsten light, exposure set at f/22 for 15 second off a tripod. These buildings are part of the ENRON complex, which are very striking set of four buildings. The buildings are connection by a circular second-story walkway (top part of photograph). The perfect composition would be to lay in the middle of the intersection with a fish-eye lens mounted on your camera so that you could get the total circular walkway and the buildings rising from the road. I had previously photographed the buildings, but did not really like the distorted view that the buildings tock-on. But, at night, the distortion gives them an abstract quality, which I really liked. I tried to enhance this quality by increasing the overall color saturation and contrast in Photoshop.
