Welcome to BP Charles!
What a stunning first post! Outstanding composition to begin with and your exposure on the lights of the city couldn't be any better!
I'm proud to say I was the first to discover your whereabouts here and comment on this fine image! :-) Can't wait to see more! #3534715

I really like the way the red lights draw your eye into the picture, well done. #3538464

Thanks Theresa! I've taken several shots in this spot horisontally and it just hasn't turned out like I wanted, so I went back and tried taking shots from different angles and positions and this one seems like the best so far. I can go to this spot almost any day of the week and shoot, so any ideas will be put to use.

You have taken this from a great vantage point and it is a great night shot.
I am wondering...did you use a tripod and cable release..or timer when you took this? Have you experimented with different exposure times?
You are very lucky you can go to this spot any time.
If it were me..I would be looking for sharper detail in the building area. Also..you could get more definition in the areas where the cars are moving by experimenting with aperture and shutter speed. I usually use a small aperture...f22 to get sharp detail in the distance.
There is no set rule...you need to take many shots, study what you have done and go back and take some more..At least that is what I do, Charles!! #3739322
