Thanks, everyone ~ Karen, Carolyn, Colette and Paul ~ for your nice comments on my "lemons out of lemonade" shot...
I was shooting Riley with the camera on the carpet, not sure if his entire head would make it into the photo. When I found this "chopped" shot, I almost deleted it. But when I kept yawning, it seemed like it'd be fun to crop this tighter so the tongue became the "center of attention." Amazing how many times even a half a yawn can make you do the same thing!! LOL! #370809

Carol Brill February 10, 2004

Cute shot, Mary, the power of suggestion really works here as I'm yawning while I type this! #370948

Thanks, Carol ~ I'm yawning now, too! LOL! Guess I was REALLY tired when I wrote "lemons out of lemonade" above ~~~ meant to say "lemons into lemonade"...oh, well! ;-) #370973

Patricia, I'd forgotten how easily the power of suggestion works where this shot is concerned...I yawned before I even started typing this to thank you for commenting on it! LOL!
My birthday today has been --- you can really appreciate this --- rained out (one of the first heavy rains in weeks)! But it will let me enjoy celebrating that much longer.
Scott and I postponed our afternoon out, and I've been catching up as best I can with birthday e-mails and photo dedications. Betterphoto friends can definitely lift one's spirit at the perfect time!!!
Speaking of friends, I thank you again for your beautiful dedication photo. Love it all, especially the water color treatment and that lovely pastel pink rose. The image has a wonderfully nostalgic feeling about it.
One of my best gifts this year has been my new friendship with you, Patricia. I am truly grateful for that!
Before I get too mushy, I'll wrap it up. "See" you - and your beautiful photos - soon. Have a weekend as nice as you are! #5153508
