A wonderful photo. I've been in Paris once, but you've definetely seen it "in different light". Excellent photo! #3803800

Spectacular photo Marianna.

I'm going to Paris soon. Are there restrictions to taking photos indoors in places like Notre Dame, the Louvre, churches etc?

Or just restrictions about using tripods and flash?

Thanks, Peter www.peterkburian.com #3824390

Thank you all for your comments!

Peter,

The tripods are not allowed inside Notre Dame and inside the fence near Louvre Pyramid (outdoors) so I am sure there are not allowed inside. Photography inside Notre Dame was allowed though.
I don't know about inside Louvre.

So other info I did not know when I came:
Night lights are turned on about 10-15 min after the sun set (there is still light) and are turned off at midnight except the Eiffel tower. The light on might be fantastic in those 10 min when there is still light but the illumination is already on. Also, the Eiffel tower has special blue flashing lights turned on every hour, on the hour, for about 10 min. Its photos looks very different when they are on.

On the practical note, I would extremely recommend getting green Michelin guide for Paris - I found it extremely useful and you don't need to carry any maps except maybe separate mini metro one for convenience.

Best regards,
