Description

I had envisioned this picture for quite some time. This is the result after my third visit to the spot just above the parking lot at Olmsted Point in Yosemite. I used a 17 mm wide angle lens, bracketed + and - 2 stops and finally combined the images into a high dynamic range image. I created the end result using tone mapping.

Did you take a course to learn this technique? How did you learn to do this?

Lovely composition and great color tonality, Christian. #6539270

Many thanks for your kind comments!

There are several software programs in the market to create these so-called HDR images. I used Photomatix. It takes some experimentation and it doesn't always work...

Good Light,
