Amy,
You captured a great natural portrait of the raccoon. I like the shallow DOF of the background and the nice clarity of the animal itself. IMHO I would have cloned out or darkened the hotspot in the right corner of the nose, since it's just a bit distracting. I also would have cropped just a bit of the bottom of the tree, which would not have affected your placement of the raccoon in the image.
