Description

I was taking some backlit shots of flowers yesterday, and I overexposed several of them. I liked the way this one turned out.

Other than slight cropping, cloning out of a small lens flare, and sharpening, no post processing work was done to this capture. So, this is pretty much right out of the camera! (Sigma 50mm f2.8 EX DG macro lens, with CP filter)

Could have fooled me, Ronald! I thought for sure this was Photoshopped. I think that's the secret though... ideally, one should not quite be able to tell except when the manipulation is extreme. This is a very pretty dream-like image! Well done! #3411327

Thank you very much Paul, Joy and Nadya! While I don't have anything against working over images in Photoshop, ideally I like to capture images that don't require much if any PS work. That having been said, anyone looking through my gallery will see that I also love working with PS filters, layers, etc. to try and create works of art too! That is one of the reasons I love digital photography. It gives me a chance to put my darkroom inside my computer! #3411353
