This is a good example of using knowledge of canine behavior to coax the right expression and body language out of a dog.

Jenni, It's your old friend, Mark Wayne. I love this shot! This Golden is absolutely beautiful. I have a one year old Golden. He is very annimated and expressive. I have several shots of him in my gallery. Glad to discover you are around. #505404James W. Betts August 14, 2007

What a beautiful dog, Jenni! I love his expressive stance! My golden is my primary model, but he does it for the liver treats being held above the camera! One of these days I want to take your class. #4907223Jenni Bidner November 14, 2007
Thank you for the kind words. This golden is food driven! He's very lazy (compared to my search dogs at least), but if there is food involved he is the fastest dog I've ever seen. His owner is nearby to control him, and all I had to do was say "Cheese" to get his attention LOL.I tuck squeakies, tennis balls, cheese, and other treats in one of the outer pockets of my camera bag, so I usually can get someting to work. If all else fails, I have a family member "run away" from the dog and straight past me.
Enjoy!
