I followed the instructions in your book, Polaroid Manipulatons, to do this B/W. I had a Polaroid 100 camera which was so old, it didn't even have the proper ASA for the Polaroid 664 film! I had to make several shots just to get a base line exposure. Also, there is little latitude in movement; you have to be rock still to make a good exposure. This one is a little soft, but for practice I didn't care. I also used a portrait lens and viewer for the camera so I could get a closer shot. The first transfer attempt I did everything in the book; not having used this film before, I didn't have a white backing, but a black one, so I was confused and peeled and peeled off the backing to bare emulsion. Not. The emulsion itself is sort of rubbery and more resilient than the color emulsions. I couldn't get it to stick on the paper. The second trial, I didn't wet the paper, rather I just painted the area where the image was going with the mix of acrylic gel and water. This tim
