The rocky shoreline definitely makes me think Northeastern U.S...my first thought was Maine, but it could also be the coast of Canada...I'll say coastal Canada. And Kevin, I'd guess it was shot at dawn because of the mist on the water and the coloring of the sky. #172111

The latter.....

I've got to stop doing that. I met up with a friend at one of my sort of secret photo locations in Baltimore called Williams Pond. This poor guy asked locals and no one knew where it was. He then checked mail boxes for "Williams," and also went and bought a bunch of topographic maps and guess what? No Williams Pond....anywhere!! He figured that he was at the right place only after I drove up. As we were photographing, Barb WILLIAMS showed up. I said to my friend, "Here she is! Barb Williams! She showed me this place and I named it after her!!" #210990

Thanks, Tony. I remember climbing a peak with a friend who called it Buick Peak. I thought it was official until he said that there really was no name for it - they just called it that because once, he and his friends had to scramble out of the way because a huge chunk of ice "the size of Buick" was coming down the mountain, heading right for them. Fortunately, no one got hurt but the name stuck.

No filter, Joshua. Just a long exposure at dawn. The misty appearance is the result of water gently rolling in and out for a couple of minutes. #234437
