Thanks so much, everyone. It took quite a few shots to get a really nice one. These little guys don't sit still very long, LOL! John #2727512

Fantastic shot John! I know so well what you mean about them not sitting still half the time I feel like throwing the camera at them. LOL #2727645

Thanks, Charlene, William, Jo and Brian. I've just really started shooting birds in the last several weeks since getting a big lens. Since then, birds are about 90% of what I've been shooting. It's also re-started my previously very casual birding in a big way. I think I'm hooked...! John
PS - We just came back from a weekend trip and shot two mature bald eagles sitting on a telephone pole eyeing the shorebirds and ducks that were feeding on the mudflats in a slough nearby. We got some incredible shots, as they were much more focused on their potential meals than on us. #2736078

Hey John,
Very nice shot, and congrats!

Was wondering what happened to you in our lighting class. You submitted a bunch of top-notch photos and then disappeared.

Thanks, Terry and Kat! Kat, Yes, you are correct, I fell off the face of the earth this term. My propensity for overcommitting myself in terms of interests vs. available time caught up with me this term. Between work, the band I play in, and doing a lot of birding/bird photography, something had to give - and this time it was the class (actually two classes). Sigh...! John #2929155
