The relative height of the Space Needle in this image is an illusion caused by distance, but it expresses the reality of Seattle’s growth. I deliberately left the parallax distortion uncorrected, as it emphasizes the way that condo development dominates the city. I tried this as a vertical shot, but the large buildings seemed less weighty and formidable.
