"Progress" Description: April 2006 2:00 pm 1/200 sec @ f/29 100 mm Scale The relative height of the Space Needle in this image is an illusion caused by distance, but it expresses the reality of Seattle’s growth. I deliberately left the parallax distortion uncorrected, as it emphasizes the way that condo development dominates the city. I tried this as a vertical shot, but the large buildings seemed less weighty and formidable. Uploaded on 4/24/2006 5:15:20 PM
