Hi Matt,Matt, let's see if anyone can come up with the correct answer. I'll check back in a week or so, and see how things are going. In the meantime, please don't give away the location :-) ... let's keep it a "secret" until everyone gets a chance to make their guesses.
And, for everyone else, have fun guessing where this wonderful scene can be found!

Isn't that the Wigwam motel in Arizona? Somewhere Northeast, around Winslow. #3113848Bruce K. Blaylock August 02, 2006
When I was a child, we would travel from Arkansas to Ohio to visit my grandmother and we would pass by this place every year. Every year we would beg to stop to no avail. I think your picture was taken in Kentucky, right?...Bruce #3113880Bonnie L. Deignan August 02, 2006
Great night shot, It looks like it was taken in Cave City, Kentucky. #3113898Dee Langevin August 02, 2006

I'm going with Holbrook, AZ as well. It's on old Route 66 about 33 miles of a corner in Winslow, AZ.My cousin stayed in unit #7 about 4 years ago.
And yes, there is another one in Cave City, KY. I photographed it in 2004.

Up untill a few years ago there was also another one in Bessemer Al, but i'm afraid it is probably a mall by now. As a small child we used to pass it on our way in and out of Alabama on my fathers varied business trips. I used to beg to stay there but we never did. Then I found this one in Az oddly enough moving back to Alabama. A hearts desire finally met!! #3115179Scott August 02, 2006
I'll bet it is in Holbrook AZ at the Wigwam motel - we stayed there 2 years ago!Cheryl August 02, 2006

The Wigwams on 5th street in Rialto, Ca, would be my quess. If not, I can believe there's more than one of these motels! #3117504Carla Freitas August 09, 2006
It's Holbrook, Az. The cars are the same ones in images I took last summer. The owner keeps several vintage cars parked around the place to highlight the Route 66 theme of the areaCarla Freitas August 09, 2006

Hi Everybody,
Hi Matt,
It just might be time for you to solve this little "mystery" ... and confirm the specific spot where you captured this eye-catching image. :-) Thanks!

Okay, Kerry, Those who chose Holbrook, AZ were correct, and those who chose Cave City, KY were very close, as it seems there's a similar motel there too.Just want to add that signage photos do very well here in Palm Springs in terms of sellability. I shoot, get rid of extranous background (sometimes...less is more) and, finally, tweak up the saturation a bit (best done in Camera Raw).
Then the challenging part--printing. I use the Epson 2200, a process that includes monitor calibration, minor Photoshop tweaks and settings adjustments so that the printer recoginizes that it will use Photoshop to determine the colors of the image.
