IN MEMORY OF COLOSSUS

Description

Our dear friend Colossus passed away yesterday at the Cincinnati Zoo and will be greatly missed. He was 40 years old and had been at the zoo for 13 years. Colossus died when he went into cardiac arrest while under anesthetic for a root canal procedure. I can't begin to tell you how many hours I have spent hanging out in his exhibit just watching (and shooting) this amazing guy! He was a very intelligent and special gorilla that has made numerous appearances here at bp.
Never to be forgotten...

Marie, yesterday I posted pictures of two swans I've enjoyed, visited, watched since they hatched and their parents before them. They were killed at night as they roosted. These wonderful wild creatures that share our lives are very sad to loose.Your photos of Collosus have provided much enjoyment. S #425567
