The childs smile is very nice.
It is a pleasant photo.
However I find the cars wheel too distracting as it tends to pull my eyes of to the right hand side of the shot.
She looks comfortable in the shot I hope she was.

I agree with Royce, this is a pleasant, well composed photo, but the background is too distracting. For portraits, if you can't move the subject to a less distracting background, try to throw the background out of focus. #987566

Background is a problem, but I feel that the main problem here is the lack of contrast.

Most of the image seems to be in the same shade of gray.

Try curves adjusment and see if you like it.

It is wonderful that everyone is commenting on this photo, but I submitted it two and a half years ago with no comments until now. I can now look back at this photo and see what is wrong with it. Thanks anyway for the comments. #987741
