At the risk of sounding ignorant... What is a Hasselblad? I'm guessing that it is some type of a camera. Is it a brand? or a style? Also, I really like the photo. It all just seems to fit together perfectly. #358

Bradley,

I was thinking someone that actually uses one might answer, but everyone seems to have disappeared.
Hasselblad is a camera manufacturer. From Germany I think. Anyway, they specialize in medium fomat cameras, with the occasional 35mm panorama. #359

Nice in Many ways. The hair, Texture tension in the sitting position. And feet in and outside the frame. And lots more. It has a lot of question and no answers. What is she thinking about I why is she there? #392

Thanks so much for all your great comments. In response, I would like to thank Kris for answering the question about the Hasselblad. It is indeed a German medium format camera. The one I use is completely manual. I process and print all my own black and white so when someone admires one of my photos, it is quite a compliment. And to Larry, this photo was taken in a back yard in La Grange, Ill. She was probably daydreaming of actually being out west. :)I know I would have been. Anyway, thank you all for your wonderful comments. Debbi #405

When I saw this picture, I had to stop everything I was doing. I felt things went into slow motion, perhaps tachypsychia. Being shown in black and white, or grayscale, definitely added emotions to this picture. The contrast between her style of clothing and the actual environment also amazes me. Indeed...what is she doing? She looks so beautiful on her peace and thoughts. There are no words for this picture. I really love this shot. #434

Debra, good pensive mood. Love the picture....but you cut off her foot.

I'm just wondering if you used any reflectors? Quite moving as it is, the dark shadows around her eye area where the lighter side of the face is seems to take away from the beauty of her face. #823
