Description

After living across the street from a peach orchard for 3 years, I finally got the photo I wanted :-) These flowers are here so briefly each year, and I always wait to photograph them thinking they will get better...Then we get one big windy day, and the flowers are all gone:-) Then I have to wait another year !
50mm, F5, 1/500, ISO 100, PS and NIK filters

This is breath-takingly beautiful, Jill! And all the more so, since the blossoms are so -- what's the word?? - ephemeral! That's the thing about photography that's always struck me the most: miss a shot, and you have missed it for a long, long time - possibly forever. Sometimes you think you're going to wait a year, then go back only to discover they have put a gas station where those flowers used to be (definitely, a sad state of affairs!). Glad you caught this gorgeous blossom! And so nicely, too!! By now I bet they're already scattered to the winds. #2570723
