What a beautiful photograph. Can you tell us how you accomplished that photograph without giving away too many of your secrets? Did you achieve this wonderful affect with the camera , or afterward, with software? I'd love to try this myself, although I'm sure it would take me a very long time to achieve such perfection. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful photograph! #2613247

Yes, Girish, this is simply stunning! A "Wow!" photo for sure.

How did you create this effect? #2619942

Girish Vaghela level-classic April 08, 2006

I cannot believe this. Jim Miotke is responding to my image? I checked it again.
Yes, it is him!
It’s a dream come true! I am one of the greatest fans of Jim and his books.

This is taken in the local food-store in the flowers area where they sell flower bouquets.
I selected bouquet of multi colored flowers. My camera was on Auto mode. I focused one flower in the corner (Golden Yellow, Rule of thirds) and while I was zooming that flower, simultaneously, I moved my camera away from that flower very speedily. It produced a nice zoomed effect. But, it was not that perfect that I had in my mind. I went home. Open my computer and opened Corel PaintShop Pro X program. Went to Radial Blur and very slightly adjusted my zoom to the level that I exactly wanted.

Thank you all.
Jim I am learning from you, your books, and BP members. BP is a learning opportunity.
Grab the opportunity and enjoy it!
