That's great, being chosen for POTD is quite the compliment.

Just some insight on the image:

Would you beleive that that photo was taken in my bathroom? I was actually standing in my bathtub. At about 3 or 4 in the afternoon, the sun lines up with the window in the bathroom which is made up of those glass blocks like you find in some resteraunts. The sun created rippled and distorted patterns, which when cast over the blue walls, makes an very interesting backdrop. The camera was held at arms length, in my hand composed by guessing, and thank god for auto focus.

The settings were manual, ISO 400, no filters, speed was 20th/Sec. Pretty much just a spur of the moment shot that wasn't real planned out. :)
