Description

The same performance as yesterday, but with the ISO at 200. I held the camera and allowed the dancers to float around me.

2/26/2006, 1/10/5.6, ISO 200, Lens 18-125 - using 109. Cropped, levels, and sharpening.

Leanne!! Gorgeous!! Must ask, did you achieve this translucent glow via camera or with Photoshop??? I just love this shot! I have been attempting to "transparentize" (?) a certain image and so far, I am not satisfied with the results so I thought I'd ask.... this is four-star! #2491798

Thankyou Nadya - this is an in camera technique, used to record movement. I use a slow camera speed, held the camera still, and shot the dancers movements. I was lucky in that there were banks of windows in front and back of me, that provided the wonderful light. #2491918

You are right, Dragan - The spirit of the dance is the number one reason for taking the photo. This piece was a small portion of Swan lake, and I wanted to capture the feeling of flight and grace. Hopefully I have accomplish this. #2492182
