Great Egret Reflection

Description

What do you think about the composition in this one? I croped it in such a way that there is more negative space above the bird. Do you have any sugestions for compositions with regard to reflections? How firm is the rule that you must include the whole reflection?

I like the composition- but I would center it just a bit more... seems too pushed off to one side, instead of intentional composition. since this picture is about the symmetry in the reflection, it makes it feel off balance to be that far to one side. #403669

I like how you ahve positioned it, I dont think I would center it since only b/c that would create a sort of 'awe' of space behinf the subject. I would however leave less space above the subject, almost the same amount as there is on the bottom.

Nice shot,

Yes I agree with kamil. I dont think you need to center it. #2500991

I'm not saying he should center it, I am saying it should be less off center than it is- somewhere between where it is now and true center. #2502903
