Description

My self-assignment for this week was to pull out that old chromakey backdrop and a disk of backdrops I bought over a year ago and try to play with it. I had 2 lights on the backdrop at f/8, main light at 45 at f/8 - lg softbox with bottom draped with black cloth, fill light at camera position at f/5, and I used my new light panel with the white reflector to camera right - opposite main light. I selected the green with either color range or magic wand, then quick mask, and filter>other>minimum set to 1 or 2 px. Even though he was about 8 feet away from the backdrop there was still some spill on the edges. On this one I used a midnight sepia filter. This is my hubby by the way - and yes I cheated somewhat by having him wear a hat. I did use my lights and panel in a new way and learned a ton of PS as well.
