I as Nina would love to know your technique and technical, Daniel. I have never tried to capture droplet as you have in this series. Each has its own character and uniquteness and am looking forward to your next one but please share the info. #2414099

Daniel Diaz February 13, 2006

No problem guys, Don't hate me when I tell you this. This one was a handheld shot, manually focused by rocking back and forth and firing the shutter when it looked to be in focus. I took about 20 shots and got maybe 5 Keepers.

Shutter Speed was 1/500, F/11(i think), ISO 200. I used the on-board flash also, with Canon cameras I belive you can only go up to 1/250 speed with the flash. #2414124

HI Daniel
I registered, just to write this comment.
I was irritated with your exposure explanation. Why every Nikon user is preoccupied with Canon cameras. You find some details where Nikons are better and dont stop mentioning them. I've never found Canon user to say something where Canons are better. And no, its not because there are no better functions on Canons, but because the conversation would become comparison.
I would love to see better and better Nikons, competition can only be good, than everyone of us would be happyer.
It looks like you would love to use Canons, but dont want to betray Nikon, like it pays you for using their cameras.
I found your work extremly interesting, unusuall and very creative.
Maybe you will change your equipment soon :)
I hope you wont mind this critics. #2439701

Igor, I'm sorry you feel that way, I've never knocked Canon at all, in fact I love Canon, I just happen to shoot with a Nikon. I was simply letting many Canon users here know that 1/500 was not possible with flash as they may not have been aware. I've never said Nikon was better, they are both equally capable of excellent results. The only reason I chose Nikon was purly ergonomics, it felt better in my hand. Thankyou for your kind words on my photography though. I wish Nikon was paying me though, LOL!!!!

Cheers
