What a gorgeous shot,Jim!
What lens and settings? Did you leave the digital noise reduction on or off in the custom functions?

Thank you so much, Wayne. Actually this was shot in the early morning, with the Long Exposure Noise Reduction set to Auto. It was frrrreeeezzing that morning. If you haven't seen it yet, check out this image of the same scene photographed in mid-day overcast. I like the overcast version even better.

Thanks again for your comments. I have your email in my Inbox and hopefully will be able to catch up as soon as I finish my book. Thanks again! #2502946
