Ohh Sharon !!!Your painting and drawing thrills me to no end!
This is beautiful. And it's moved to the top of my favorites.
I'm so glad you've had the determination to get through all the trials and pain to get back to painting ...
now ... I must ask ... have you played yet with the technique of "washing out" most of a photograph and then printing to canvas and then painting over it?
I met a lady here who does professional photography portraits (using strictly backgrounds projected onto a screen) and then her daughter produces the client's favorite in oils or whatever ...!!
They are incredible!! Actuallly her whole family makes a fantastic team. I am going to ask to interview her.
Alright well I have to keep moving ... I've got your gallery bookmarked now at my new del.icio.us account ... one of my new loves on this "new" internet [rolling eyes]
love ya!
have fun,

Pammy, You gave me lots of pepp talks and I thank you from the bottom of my heart! I have not tried what you have described. but it's food for thought But I have done wall murals of anything and everything. my grandsons room I painted an apple tree that goes right onto the ceiling and the branched extent on to the windows (French tec,) while little teddy bears dress in cute baseball outfits sit in the tree eating apples, and picket fences and barrels of apples.. 2 more years and he'll be into rockets and space travel. THANK YOU PAM!!!!!!!! #2626815Pam M April 10, 2006
LOL Sharon it's easy to encourage you since you are always encouraging me.Post a question over in the Q&A area to get more info on the painting over photographs ... i'm almost certain i've seen work /discussion on the technique here at BP. I sent you an email a few nights ago ... if you didn't get it, post a note to me on one of my pics and I'll find another way to communicate with you ... what? are we back to smoke signals now? do smoke signals carry from one coast to the other?
Your grandson is very lucky ... Some years back I met a lady who was starting to do her wall murals on several large frames of canvas so they could easily move from place to place ... she had an incredible talent ... but ... let's just say she had no survival instincts. If you do another mural for your grandkids, why not do something that will never need to be painted over ... for any reason?
Have you ever talked to anyone who could take your murals and move them through the process to wallpaper? Or... I met another lady whose work is transfered to ceramic tile... actually I can put you in touch with her.
Well anyway ... drop me a note ... I'm still getting your emails.
have fun!
