Calm Returns - Pondicherry Wildlife Refuge

After an early season winter storm, the serenity of Cherry Pond returns while the trailing storm catches a touch of alpenglow over NH's Presidential Range. I had originally hoped the clouds would break over the summits, but I now prefer the mystery of wondering what lies beneath the clouds. Three 35mm images shot on Fuji Velvi 100 were assembled in Arcsoft Panorama Maker. A Gitzo tripod along with a 2 stop grd ND filter was used to balance the bright mountains and sky with the cool shadow of the snow and grasses.
