Wojtek, I hope you dont mind me answering your question about Canon vs Nikon. Please go to www.dpreview.com go to buyers guide/side by side. put both of these cameras up and see what differences they have. If you have Canon lens, then stick with Canon, I had an F90 Nikon and use the ED lens with that on my D100. I got a deal on this used camera, and love it even though the technology is 2 years old. I must say that I have used a Fujifilm S3 at the Calgary Stampede last year and just love it, it takes Nikon lens, great camera for portraits, the skin tones come out excellent, and so do the landscapes but then we have Adobe Photoshop Elements 3 for thatIf I can be of any future help please let me know.
I am coming through this way to answer your questions as for some reason none of my email (through BP) or your email address are going through, my email to you was rejected for some reason, in Polish so I assume you live in Poland
Take care, keep shooting those beautiful portrait
Regards

Stan, thank you for answer.
I know dpreview well and I checked lots of tests and articles there. Some time ago, I had Nikon F90x and F80, but I sold that cameras, when 300d hit the market. Now I know that wasn't good deal. Canon has plenty of disadvantages which irritate me. Main point is light metering. Nikon matrix metering is superb. Every shot in every light condition were exposed perfectly. I know it by experience. Canon light metering is complete enigma and disappointment to me. Every shot in the same light condition (no matter if you have program: A, S or P switched) is different. Especially when I use external flash. It drives me crazy when I do some reportage. That's why I consider changing the systems. Besides, eos 300D is absolutely amateur camera. And eos 5D is too expensive. Despites E-TTL II, 30D has the same problem with light metering.
I asked you about D100, because I'm curious about matrix metering in Nikon dslr's. S3pro (and D200) is a wonderful camera but it costs lots of money. Too expensive for me. Please write me some more about light metering and photo quality before postprocessing in PS. I know that plenty information was written about it, but I need opinion of someone who has got this camera and work with it everyday.
Best regards,
